What’s your most memorable milestone and why? My most memorable milestone that taught me a life lesson at (17) was when I decided to apply and was accepted to The University of Alabama. I came from a small rural high school (population about 800 total school), which I loved, some of the best times of my life. For some reason unknown to me some of our school career counselors wanted students to start small via their college aspirations (community colleges, smaller institutions, etc.) and move to larger universities. I was no different and was given the same counsel. Because I’ve always had strong faith in God and a belief that a positive attitude and words of affirmation leads to your destiny, I decided to take a different approach. I applied to a school that I always wanted to attend and knew I could be successful if I worked hard. I applied to UA, was accepted and graduated with a BA in Communications. The reason it was a memorable milestone was because it showed me, I had inner strength to succeed, a strong work ethic to ensure my grades were on point and a belief that amazing things happen when you focus on your goals.
