ON BUSINESS
Who are your biggest influencers and mentors personally & professionally and why? First and foremost, my dad, who passed away unexpectedly in 2009 at the early age of 63. He taught me to be a man, which is a lost art. He taught me to be resourceful, how to build or fix literally anything, and most importantly, how to be a great father. In business, I am very fortunate to have been surrounded by such great leadership and visionaries over the course of my 25+ year career, but I would have to say Bill Gates. I admire him professionally, but not because of his wealth, and not because of his success or companies, but because of what he gives back to the world.

3 things that we should know about you? I am a model and do some acting and commercials on the side…yep, I know what you’re thinking, “if this guy is a model, then I am Lebron James” ☺. I won my 5th grade spelling bee, now I reply on my smartphone and autocorrect. I have owned more than 40 cars and now know that they are not great investments.

What exciting project are you working on? For my day job, I am building out a new Technology Services division within my existing company, and it is set to launch this summer. Regarding my modeling career with Salt Model & Talent, I recently wrapped up several national commercials, including brands like Ford, Rooms to Go, Jetlinx, etc.

What's been your most successful approach to building business relationships? Being genuine, be yourself and get to know the person in front of you. Ask more questions and listen versus talk. Take the time to understand the person and/or the business before you pitch or sell. Solid and lasting relationships are the foundation of all business.

Your mantra? There are so many people that seek perfection in relationships, jobs and life in general, and these individuals become dissatisfied when it is not achieved. Excellence does not require perfection, but instead passion, attitude, intent and effort are ways to achieve excellence.

What type of digital magazine or periodicals do you enjoy? I do enjoy local Atlanta Business and Entertainment such as Simply Buckhead, Atlanta Business Chronicle and The Modern Luxury collection.

GETTING PERSONAL
Favorite spots to frequent for business connections in Atlanta/Nationally and why? Being in the high-tech industry, my favorite place to frequent is by far the Atlanta Tech Village in Buckhead, so much energy and talent all under one roof. I love to meet people and truly believe in networking and building amazing relationships, both personal and professional.

Apple or Samsung why? Easy one…Apple! There is no question that it is a “one up” race and there will never be a clear winner as it relates to who is more innovative, but Apple clearly has the better ecosystem, quality apps and accessories, and if you are an Apple-only household, well…it just all works better together on one seamless platform!

5 Favorite skin care products & fragrance by Dior that you enjoy using? I wear several fragrances, but one of my recent favorites is Dior Sauvage Parfum, I also use Hugo Boss and Clive Christian. For skincare, my daily regimen of various skin care and eye creams consist of Jack Black and Darphin, as well as Mario Badescu. ALL guys should be following this regimen as well!

What do you do for fun? For fun, I LOVE to travel and have been all over the world. I love spending time with my 3 amazing boys because I get to be a kid again. Exercise, food, wine and patios are also a favorite pastime of mine! I’m addicted to Orangetheory Fitness!

What legacy do you want to leave behind? My family and my boys are important to me and every decision I make affects them in a positive or negative way, so I work hard to be a mentor and role model and teach the importance of following your dreams and being passionate and relentless about it. I am also transparent and open to sharing my life lessons, because those lessons (good and bad) are what shape us as individuals and force us to learn. I trust that the path that I am paving will provide my family with some level of guidance that will ensure some level of happiness and success in whatever they choose to pursue.
