How are you drawn to your subjects? I like to give the impression that with little detail there is the essential. The urban graphic side elevates me. I want to bring a touch of modern impressionism into my subjects.
What does your artwork represent? My art is nude where I try to highlight some figurative symbols. I’d rather interpret a story than tell it the way it’s written. In art, it’s the same drawing a bottle does not bring me much thing the interpreter requires much more imagination.

What inspires you? I am inspired by the beauty of urban lines, a perspective, the color that it reflects beautiful thoughts. I’m looking for the joy, peace, and clarity of my vision of the world
What materials do you use and what is your process? I work mainly on wood sheets. Oil painting remains noble, elegant, & powerful of its pigment. I also burn the pigment to create texture to give a deeper vision to the eye

What was your first art and how old were you when you created it? I actually started painting at the age of 18, when I had just finished school. My first painting was a Roman bridge in my Provençal region.
What is favorite piece and why? I like my work when it is minimalist and at the same time dynamic. The timeless side seduces me very much.

What was your first professional piece that sold and where is it residing? My first painting sold was in Saint Rémy de Provence, bought by an American couple:-)
For several number of years, St. Regis Hotel in Buckhead had your painting hanging right by the wine room. Can you tell us the name of the painting, the year it was painted, the inspiration behind that piece and was it painted here in Atlanta or France? Honored to have a painting hung on the walls of this prestigious hotel. I realized this work well over ten years ago. It was painted here in Atlanta. It represents the bridge of sights in Venice in greenish tones.

Are there art galleries where we may see and buy your collection in Atlanta? I’m exhibiting my work at Huff Harrington Fine Art Gallery, which is in the Buckhead area here in Atlanta. We’ve been working together for 13 years.
What does your art mean to you? My art is a timeless and poetic representation. I color the world.
If you can have a conversation with one or two of the world's greatest artists who would you choose and why? I will choose Zao-Wou-Ki and Turner in order to understand their message and to feed me with their knowledge.

What projects, collaborations, & exhibits are you currently working on? I am preparing a personal exhibition in Atlanta on April 24 in the gallery Huff Harrington, I will take the opportunity to bring my group Akpé Motion because I am also a jazz drummer.
What music do you listen to when you’re painting? Jazz

What's the best place in France or other parts of the world that inspires you to create art & why? I live in Provence and the light is just perfect. Many masters have come here to paint the colors, the lines are balanced. Then wherever I go in the world & I find my inspiration through perfume, ambiances, culture. Venice remains I believe a great inspiration for me.
