ON BUSINESS

3 things that we should know about you?

I moved from the fashion scene in Paris to Iowa when my husband and I were just married, and we lived there for 4 years. I used to be on the go every day all day but now I take time to be still. I meditate and practice yoga daily and have seen profound breakthroughs in my business and personal life. I am a thrill-seeker! I love to ski black diamond slopes in the winter and wake surf in the summer. These sports make me feel so young and alive.

One of the most exciting process of our existence is our evolution. As an entrepreneur, business professional, or business owner, what do you think your evolution has been in the last few years? As a woman I feel like we go through major evolution in life. We grow up with a professional dream, but that gets shaken once we become a mother. I worked in fashion in Paris and had found my identity in the fashion business yet by getting married, moving abroad, and becoming a mother everything shifted. It took me several years after becoming a mother to find the courage to step into my professional purpose. It is still a challenge to find the perfect balance between work and family but it keeps things interesting. I would rather be too busy than bored any day! I am hoping my two daughters will be inspired to follow their own dreams and keep their own identity through all stages of their lives. I am forever thankful for my husband and my friends for the support they are giving me to this day.

What one characteristic that you believe every leader should have?  I believe a company will only grow as much as the fulfillment of its employees, and a leader with compassion and gratitude will set the example.

To what do you attribute your success? Authenticity. The uniqueness of an upbringing in Europe, an education in Law and Fashion management with a touch of American lifestyle and customer service.

What method of networking have worked for you and why? Over the last few years I have found a way to make Social Media platforms like Instagram and Facebook huge opportunities for networking and idea sharing.

Books you've enjoyed and what's the takeaway from that book? ‘The Magic’ by Rhonda Byrne was recommended to me by a friend when my family was going through a difficult time. My husband and I did the practice of gratitude together for 28 mornings and it turned our lives around. “Gratitude will shift you to a higher frequency and you will attract your deepest wishes”. It did for us!

What's been your most successful approach in building business relationships? Go with the flow. Say yes to what feels good and keep your heart open. Just apply common sense and you will figure things out as they come up. I’ve found that the best way of learning is by doing, by making mistakes, and adjusting.

What are the few resources you would recommend to someone looking to gain insights into becoming a better leader? I attended the “Unleash the Power Within” conference of Tony Robbins in New York during the summer of 2017. Within those 4 days I managed to remove all blockages with his guidance. He has a way to make you look deep within. I left the conference with a clear vision, with an urge to live the rest of my life fulfilling my purpose.

What legacy do you want to leave behind? Spreading light, love & hope. I strive to inspire women to make a difference and feel good about themselves at any age.

What do you have on your bucket list that you are determined to check off this year? Business: My goal is to double the amount we are giving back to autism in 2019 by expanding Good Tidings. Family: I would love to explore Cuba with them as well as climb Matchu Picchu. Would love to find a way to submerge them in the Spanish and French language and culture. Personal: I am dreaming about going on a yoga/meditation retreat for a week in an Asian country.
