What type of company do you run? Residential design, construction, renovation and new home building, Real Estate Development, & Home Sales.

What fuels you and what are the wisdom that you've gained through the years? I have a tendency to jump in without having 100% of the information, motivated by gut feelings, which means learning as I go. It is very exciting and risky but can sometimes end in epic failure. Slowly, the times that felt like failures have added up to wisdom that would not have come without these big risks.

What challenges did you face and what motivated you to solve them? There is no better feeling to me than watching a family grow into one of my homes. The end of a project means it’s time for the new people to move in, bring their belongings and start their new lives there. They come into their home that I have created for them with their families of all shapes and sizes and they settle in. They build their lives around this home…dreaming, loving, laughing, crying…it all happens there. It’s just magical to me when a client sends me a message saying “Guess what?! We are having a baby!” This feeling is what motivates me to keep pushing when most days are beyond challenging. A building project is a giant puzzle with thousands of parts that cost a lot of money. The weather, the budget, the personalities, hiring competent staff, and operating in male dominated industry are all reasons why the challenges are relentless. I must be tenacious! The motivation of the happy ending pushes me into constant solution mode.

Define Beyond Beauty? My Grandmother always said, “Pretty is as pretty does” Beauty is not just what you can see with your eyes. It’s a feeling. Doing good things for others and choosing kindness above all is true beauty.
What projects are you currently working on? I have 3 large scale renovations in different stages of completion at the moment. One in historic Druid Hills and 2 in the Briarcliff area. I also have a new construction that I’m just bringing out of the ground off Clairmont Rd. I have several homes under contract for my Real Estate clients as well and am constantly sourcing property in some way, shape, or form. The Real Estate sales part of my business with Keller Williams keeps me keyed in and on the pulse of the ever-changing market.

Three things that we should know about you? 1) My priority is my family. I adore being a Mom and cherish every single moment I have with my children. We almost lost our oldest to an Eating Disorder at only 11 years old and it changed everything about our lives. She is doing better now three years later, but we work hard to share our story to help others to hopefully not go through what we went through. My husband is a restaurant owner and is my biggest fan, and I’m also his!

2) I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Maine. My Mother’s side of the family is in large scale farming, so I believe I came honestly by my love of hard work and passion for land development.

3) I LOVE TO DANCE!
