Who are your biggest influencers and mentors personally & professionally and why? My grandfather. He was truly a “walk the walk” kind of man. He was a deacon in the church I grew up in and he’s by far the closest I’ve ever seen anyone to living life completely “by the Good Book.” That’s impressive to me and I often think “What would Pawpaw think?” before doing something. Robin Meade. I love and respect so much what she does and how she does it. She’s an influence on me that way if I’d never met her, but having met her and chatted a bit, I’m more impressed by her willingness to be a source of advice and help another woman in her industry.

3 things that we should know about you? One of the things I pride myself on is always attempting to make everyone feel comfortable and included in any situation. I’m trustworthy. I’ve still got a pretty good jump shot. I played small forward in high school. I attended the University of Louisville on an academic scholarship but was offended that I didn’t get a basketball scholarship offer.

Favorite spots to frequent for business connections in Atlanta/Nationally and why? American Cut’s Regent Cocktail Club (Atlanta) - It’s a great place to relax with good food/cocktails and have a good business conversation while taking in a great view without a “rowdy” atmosphere. Louisville, KY is a place where I still have a lot of friends and connections and I host the red carpet for a Derby Eve black tie fundraiser called Unbridled Eve. When I’m there, 21C Hotel’s Proof Lounge is perfect for a business lunch or dinner.

What do you do for fun? Exploring Atlanta’s fantastic food scene is always fun. Exploring and exercising at various parks and the Beltline is really great also.

What legacy do you want to leave behind? I’d love to be remembered as kind but not at all weak, empathetic and inclusive, a consummate professional and a leader by example.
